Museums outside of Paris
Musuems that I have been to
Here are some places that I enjoy within the Île-de-France region - the places that I feel should have more love. While Paris has a lot of cool places to visit, it's sometimes nice to have a change of pace and to see somewhere new
Le Cyclop
I loved visiting Le Cyclop, it supassed my expectations! Highly recommend the guided tour where you're able to enter inside, parts are even interactive!
Maison des Jardies - Léon Gambetta
This is the house where Gambetta lived in the years before his death. I would highly recommend the guided tour because you get to learn so much about the life of Gambetta - the things I wouldn't have known just by visiting. I followed the tour in French, so I'm not sure if it's available in English

Museums that I want to visit
While researching the region (mostly for my Île-de-France project), I have came across a lot of places that look interesting. Here are some of the places that I would like to visit.
Musée Louis Braille
This musuem is Louis Braille's childhood home. I'm interested in learning more about Braille and how he helped form the tactile writing system that is used around the world
Foundation Dubuffet
TODO
Here you can find a map with all of the different locations. The lighter colours indicate places that I have not visited, while the darker colours indicate places that I have visited.
If you're new here, hi, I'm Abi. I've been living in France since 2016 and have recently started a blog to talk all things Paris and travel.
